    Her name is Eliza Hall Wood, born on 10 November 1833 to Sheriff Willis Wood & Elizabeth Cochran, in the area that became Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama. Elize was the first white child born in the county. Eliza married William Fletcher Haynes in Roanoke. Eliza and Fletcher were the parents of 13 children and lived on Cornhouse Creek. Eliza died on 1 May 1897 and was buried with Fletcher in the Willis Wood Cemetery and a cenotaph was placed at Cedarwood Cemetery by her descendants.
